New Partners In The Works!

It's been a while since I've updated on here. Sorry about that. If you have been following our excitement on Facebook, then thank you and you should be all caught up! Training these new babies has been a roller-coaster. Wildflower is really starting to come around to us and is allowing us to touch both sides, rub her face, pick up her left front hoof, and rub the halter up and down her neck. She is really bursting through, finding confidence and comfort with us. Ruger is a little bit behind in finding his place. We believe in a horse finding their forever 'true bond' or 'their' person. He is taking longer to trust. He listens extremely well and picks up cues like it's nothing. He just isn't into it or connected. A really cool thing happened recently, though. My best friends came over and I wanted them to meet the horses up close to help the stangs loosen up a bit. Wildflower did amazing! My friends, Taya, Adalie and  just walked in and she took it so well! She even allowed me in there, too! She was open and willing for them. Ruger, needs it taken slow. I had to explain everything they possibly needed to know about him. My other friend, Asher, tried after I had worked with Ruger for a bit, just trying to demonstrate. For the record, Asher has not had a whole lot of experience with horses, let alone a mostly wild mustang. Well, he came in and Ruger immediately changed his demeanor. From running and spooky around me, to slow and gentle. He turned to Asher to get a good look, but after a second or two, he lined right up, and let Asher get almost two inches away from his shoulder! His head was low and relaxed, his hooves were cocked. They just clicked. That's pretty awesome! 😆

Just a little fun!🌴

With summer heat, comes summer zoomies. The boys have been getting their workouts in. Every time I look outside they are getting into trouble or racing around the field.  They got their first bath of the season this past week because of their craziness! I hope with everyone's summer days coming you enjoy it!
